What is wrong with my internet connection stays on "aquiring network address"?

With wireless technology you have to be aware of attenuation that is the degradation of signal as the distance between the computer and wireless modem become greater. This means less power is being received and can cause a loss of connection. Also you have to look at interference. That is to say, reflection, refraction, distortion, scattering. If there is a wall that is concrete between the both devices the signal will weaken. If plants or objects are in the path, the signal my shoot into different directions other then the path you want it to go to catch your wireless modems signal. Signals range from A channel, B channel, G channel and N channel in the 802.11x wireless spectrum. 2.4 Ghz frequencies utilized by B,G,N can lose signal when a MICROWAVE oven is turned on because it used 2.4 Ghz to heat food.
