Flat mate moved out, stopped paying rent a month later, joint tenancy, where do I stand? Please HELP!?

I think that if one tenant skips a jointly rented apartment, the other tenant should have the right to that too immediately after documenting that the first one abandoned the place. If the management agreed to a joint tenancy of you two, then it is the management that should take that risk.
