High mileage VW Bora?

==== take the car to a foreign car mechanic and pay for a compression test ((( it is cheaper than being stuck with a ride that will have need of a new engine ++++ the VW if it is in good shape and the motor is GOOD .. should run just fine for you for another 100,000 miles if you will do the proper maintainin'' = oil, fuel, filters .. clean the block (engine) of old anti-froze ,,,, do the brakes and check the rear end oil .... it will be cheaper to do the good and on time maintainance than buying a car that you really do not like .... most cars that are on the road today will go 250,000 on the oodometer if the car/owner would do the proper European style maintainance (ESM) (( like what is recommended for a BMW, Jag, or a MercedesBenzz --- the reason that the American cars do not get this ESM is so you wear 'em out and buy another one [[ even before you wear out the seat covers]] .... BUY that VW if you like it and the price is good and do the ESM.....
